Introducing small amounts of Pressed Lucerne Hay is a good way to get more pure plant fibre into their diets. Scatter it into feed offerings to add variety and extra forageable fun. The cold-pressing process creates a pellet hard enough to help with dental wear too.
80-90% of any fibrevore's diet should be good quality hay and grass. Pressed Lucerne Hay can form part of that offering, but always offer fresh long-stem hay too. In addition, feed ¼ - ½ cup of reputable, grain-free rabbit or guinea pig pellets such as Fibre Feast. Keep fresh, clean water available at all times. For a growing, breeding or underweight rabbit or guinea pig, provide ¼ to 1/2 a cup of Pressed Lucerne Hay twice daily in addition to fresh hay and quality pellets.
